- Here is how I take a song from an audio file and turn it into sheet music: I use the Song Surgeon software in conjunction with Properllerhead's Reason 3.0 and Finale's Print Music 2009. The Hardware I use with my computer is a M-Audio Keystation 61es, Alesis power amp/Studio Monitors and Creative computer speakers.
- If you do not have the chords for your favorite song, Chord Pickout will help you to convert song into chords quickly and accurately. You just need to open your music file in one of the supported file formats, such as MP3, CDA, WMA, MPEG4, OGG, ACC, and WAV.
- How to download lyrics for songs? When you buy an Audio CD, usually you get a booklet with lyrics and other important or not so important information. As you rip your CDs to MP3 or other audio formats, you still can look into the booklet for lyrics. However, MP3 and other formats offer you much better choice.
- Converting an MP3 audio file to sheet music is a difficult process which requires specialized software. There are no free programs to convert MP3 to MIDI, the first step in the process, so you'll have to purchase a program such as WIDI Recognition System Professional.

Karaoke is a fun way to bring people together and share each others' talents (or lack thereof). But karaoke machines are expensive, and the cost of purchasing CDs to play on those machines can add up quickly. Fortunately, you don't need to buy karaoke CDs anymore, because you can make karaoke tracks on your home computer for free. All you have to do is take the vocals out of your MP3 tracks, and you've got musical tracks that your friends and family can sing along to.
Download and install the Audacity sound editor (see Resources).
Open Audacity and click 'File > Open' and locate the song you want to convert to a karaoke track (start by browsing through your 'My Music' folder if you're not sure where your songs are stored).
Click the small, black down arrow located in the track menu, and choose 'Split Stereo Track.'
Left-click an empty area in the bottom track menu (which has been separated) to highlight the entire track. You should be able to tell it's highlighted because it will be a darker gray color than the top track.
Click 'Effect > Invert' from the toolbar menu.
Click the small, black down arrow and select 'Mono.' Repeat this step with the top track.

Select 'File > Export as WAV' from the toolbar menu. Save the item to your desktop and name it the title of the song. This track has now been converted to its karaoke form.
